Forever In the Hearts They Leave Behind

Bella L. Kramer

July 24, 1949 – August 10, 2022

Bella L. Kramer, 73, of Laveen, Arizona, passed away on August 10, 2022, after a courageous battle against pulmonary fibrosis.  Bella was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on July 24, 1949.  In 1972, at the age of 21, she came to the United States.  Bella first settled in Bronx, New York.  There she met the love of her life, Alan Kramer.  They were married on August 9, 1976 and created a beautiful life together for 30 years.  Bella’s passion was cooking.  She earned her Associates Degree in Culinary Arts.  Bella began her career in food service at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY.  She made lifelong friends during her time there.  In 1993, she took her culinary skills to Arizona so Alan could fulfill a lifelong dream of living in the Wild West.  Bella became the Food Service Director at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, AZ.  She worked there for over two decades.  Everywhere Bella went she created special bonds with others – whether it was on the job, through her Ecuadorian Club, and most recently with the traveling nurses who stayed with her during their time in Phoenix.  Bella was a Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Cousin, and Aunt.  However, her proudest title was “Bita”, which was what her grandchildren and many others affectionately called her.  She will be greatly missed by her children Anthony and his wife Tricia, Liz and her husband John, and grandchildren Joshua, Matthew, Lexi and Ella.  Bella will also be greatly missed by numerous brothers and sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews, in-laws, stepchildren, and their families.  Services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery in Mesa, AZ.  Visitation is open from 4pm-8pm on Monday, August 22nd.  Bella’s memorial service begins at 1pm on Tuesday, August 23rd with burial immediately following.
