Bernard Dean Klein, 95, died on Sunday, October 23, 2022.

Bernie was born September 13, 1927, in Scotia, Nebraska to Walter and Dagmar Klein. Bernie and his brother, Bob, grew up on a small farm where their mother’s fried chicken was known as the “best in the county”.

After high school Bernard went to University of Nebraska. His college education was interrupted by WWII. He served one and a half years in the army, then returned to school.

Bernie married Patricia Ragan on September 4 of 1949. They were blessed with two children. Daughter, Karen, was adopted in 1957 and Son, Dave, in 1960.

Bernie is survived by his children Karen (Klein) Einsphar and Dave Klein and their spouses Kevin E. and Kim K. He also has 3 grandchildren Kory E., Jared and Jameson K., plus two great grandchildren: Trevor Witzel and Kora Einspahr.

He is preceded in death by his late wife, Patricia and brother Robert.
