Bernard J. Cogswell, born 1959 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2017 surrounded by his family members. Bernard was born to predeceased parents, Richard Sr. and Lina I. Cogswell. Bernard leaves behind three living brothers, Richard Jr., Gregory Sr., and Garyl and his God-sister, Ann. He is preceded in death by brother, Alton Eric.

Bernard moved to Gilbert, Arizona, with his brother in 2006, from Connecticut, and has been working for Old Country Buffet in Mesa until his passing in June. Besides his immediate family, Bernard leaves to mourn his family in New York – Alabama – Virginia – Florida and Connecticut and host of nieces, nephew and friends.

Memorial service will be held at World Deliverance Outreach Ministries in Mesa, Arizona on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm.

    Our hearts and prayers go out to the Cogswell family in their time of grief and sadness.

    Although I did not know Bernard well he made a lasting impression as a very unique individual and a kind gentle man.

    We can all take comfort in knowing God’s plan cannot be known by man but He will surely allow believers and non-believers alike to meet again in His garden some day.
