Billie Jean Thomas, 83, of Mesa, daughter of Thomas Harland Chapmond and Dora Chapmond, passed away on December 22, 2010 due to complications from congestive heart failure. She is survived by her loving husband Albert II and children Albert III, Terrell, Jana and Lance. Grandchildren Andrew, Michelle and Danielle. Sisters JoAn Palmer, Betty Jo Arvello, and Edith Rushing of Texas. Billie was born in Wichita Falls, Texas. She met her husband to be Albert Weil Thomas II at Sheppard AFB where she earned her private pilot’s license was an active member of the Civil Air Patrol. They married in June of 1946 and celebrated 64 years together. They raised their family in Redwood City, California before moving to Apache Junction in 1972 where they established and built a Mobile Home and RV Resort. She was a loving wife and mother, an avid bird lover, she enjoyed traveling, collecting vintage fire trucks and enjoyed her many diverse ventures with her loving husband Albert at her side. A private service will be held January 7th, 2011.
