Born Robert James  David Samagalski on February 12, 1949 to Peter and Pearl Samagalski in Selkirk , Manitoba Canada. He was baptized into United Catholic faith in October 1949.
He legally changed his name to Bob James Sands in his early twenties.
Bob moved to Mesa, AZ and was United in marriage to Elizabeth Minnie Degner on July 8th, 1994.
Together they built a home together and lived a happy, loving life until he went to his eternal home in heaven on January 25, 2023.
Bob worked for Safeway for many years after becoming a permanent US resident in 2009.
Bob enjoyed traveling in his motor home as well as by air to Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico many times. He was also an avid golfer and while in Canada enjoyed Hockey and curling.
Bob leaves to mourn, his loving wife Libby, very special friend David Hanning of Gilbert, AZ, sister Cathy Samagalski of Manitoba , mother Pearl Samagalski of Manitoba, 2 stepsons Michael and Dale Degner of Cosmos, Mn, 5 step Grandchildren and 15 step great grandchildren along with many friends and relatives in Canada and AZ.
His outgoing smile and friendly nature will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
