Bonnie Letz, a beloved wife, daughter, and sister, peacefully passed away on October 12, 2024, in Mesa, Arizona. Born in Newark, New Jersey, on July 27, 1940, Bonnie brought joy and light to the lives of many.
Preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Picker, her mother, Gladys Kristine Kahn, and her sister, Jane Kelley, Bonnie leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience.
Bonnie’s life journey was marked by several moves, ultimately in 1966, found her home in Mesa, Arizona, where she resided until her passing. Despite facing significant health challenges throughout her life, Bonnie maintained an unwavering spirit of joy and optimism.
In 1974, Bonnie married the love of her life, Rick Letz. Together, they celebrated a remarkable 50th wedding anniversary this past July.
Bonnie’s talents extended beyond the home. She briefly pursued a passion for acting with the Phoenix Little Theater in the 1970s. However, her greatest joy was found in supporting her husband in his endeavors and creating a loving home.
An active member of the Saguaro Baptist Church, Bonnie cherished her time in the choir and especially enjoyed singing duets with her husband.
Bonnie will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her kind heart, unwavering spirit and joyful presence will forever be remembered.
Bonnie is survived by her step-daughter Julie Booth of Birmingham, Michigan and her children, Kyle and Katie, niece Kathy Dickinson of Mesa, Arizona, and nephew Kevin Kelley of Phoenix Arizona, and their children.
There will be a service on February 8, 2025 at Saguaro Baptist Church, 1402 N. Power Road, Mesa, AZ 85205. The memorial service will begin at 11am, followed by lunch. Donations in memory of Bonnie may be made to Sunshine Acres Children’s Home or plant a memorial tree through Legacy.com.
