Camille Procopio, cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona. She was 90.

Born in the Bronx, New York, Camille was the daughter of William and Jean (Mercurio) Cuccio. In the 1970s, she relocated to Arizona, where she became the proud owner of the Yogurt Café in Phoenix. Her deep Catholic faith shaped her daily life—she was devoted to the Blessed Sacrament, attended daily Mass at All Saints Catholic Church in Mesa, and faithfully prayed the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet. She attended the John XXIII School of Faith in Phoenix, Arizona, under Deacon Joseph Lessard and became a member of the Daughters of the Americas in March 2012. Camille’s greatest joy was her family. She loved nothing more than cooking for her children and grandchildren and being surrounded by those she loved.

She is survived by her sons: Joseph (Karen) Procopio, William (June) Procopio, and Gene (Mary) Procopio—all of Mesa, Arizona; nine grandchildren: Matthew (Laura) Procopio, Melissa (Chad) DeMiguel, Jeannie (Todd) Pecaro, Joseph (Caitlyn) Procopio, Christopher (Colby) Procopio, Crista (Kalu) Procopio, Brianna (Raymond) Ortega, Michael (Emma) Procopio, and Anthony Procopio; and fourteen great-grandchildren: Samantha Procopio, Elizabeth Procopio, Joshua Procopio, Jacob Procopio, Ava Pecaro, Noah Procopio, Rhysand Ortega, Christian Pecaro, Olivia Procopio, Joseph Benjamin Procopio, Mia DeMiguel, Celene Procopio, Luciella Okoye Uwaya-Procopio and a special bundle on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Procopio and brother William (Diane) Cuccio of Sarasota, Florida.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at All Saints Catholic Church in Mesa, Arizona, followed by interment at Mountain View Mortuary, 7900 E. Main Street, Mesa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic Daughters of the Americas at All Saints Catholic Church.

Arrangements were cared for by Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery 7900 E Main Street Mesa, AZ 85207, (480) 832-2850
