Forever In the Hearts They Leave Behind

Carmella Marie “Millie” Dunn-Edwards

Passed Away on November 8, 2017

Carmella Marie “Millie” Dunn-Edwards passed away November 8, 2017 in her home at the age of 81 in Mesa, Arizona. She was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and known to her siblings and friends as “Millie” and later as Marie, she is one of five children. Marie is predeceased by her mother and father, Vito and Teresa (Teresina Calfo) Abbruscato, both immigrants from Italy and her first husband, Thomas H. Dunn. Marie is survived by her caring and loving husband of five years, Thomas (Tom) D. Edwards (USAF, Retired); her five children, Thomas (Tom) Dunn, Anna Marie Dunn, Mark Dunn, Leta Wrightsman, and Kelly Dunn; and five grandchildren.

Marie was the glue that held her family together through thick and thin. Although there was not much money as the children were growing up, Marie always made sure each day was an adventure. She continually sewed, crocheted, and baked through the year to ensure birthdays and holidays were extra special for everyone. Marie was innovative, creative and will be missed, but her spirit will live on through her memory by her wonderful husband, Thomas Edwards, children, grandchildren, sisters, brother, and all that knew her.
