Carol Kathleen Marsh passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2016. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 31, 1933. Upon completing high school, she moved to Michigan to attend Albion College. After raising her daughters, she returned to University of Michigan to receive her teaching degree.
Carol was an elementary school teacher for 25 years before retiring to Mesa, AZ. Besides being an avid reader, over the years Carol also enjoyed
hobbies such as sewing, knitting, growing roses, and ceramics. She loved going to the casino, playing dominoes, eating out, and cheering on the U of M football team. Surviving are her husband of 43 years, James K. Marsh; daughters Kathleen (Alan) LaMothe and Karen Whitecraft; grandson Kyle (Stacy) Grindling; step-daughter Cyndi (Nick) Yde; step-son Donald Marsh; and six step-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 East Main Street in Mesa, on Thursday, June 9, 2016. Visitation will take place at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10:30 a.m.. Interment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona later this month.
