Carolyn Moore Bachman, age 89, of Mesa, AZ passed away on June 2, 2025. Carolyn was born in Harvey, Illinois on March 11, 1936. to William & Mabel Moore. She had one sister, deceased, Glenna Moore Ritter. Carolyn graduated from Thornton Township High School and Thornton Community College in Harvey. Immediately after college she became a stewardess with American Airlines. In 1958 she married William Bachman, and they had three children. daughters Kyle & Kristin & her son, Robert. Kristin was developmentally disabled, and the family dedicated many years to her care and to supporting Kris’s school, Park Lawn School in Oak Lawn, II. When Kristin passed away in 2012 at age 50, she had lived at Park Lawn Center for 29 years. Park Lawn still remains dear to the heart of the entire Bachman family. Carolyn also joined the Chicago chapter of the American Airlines stewardess alumni organization, The Kiwis. She was an active member and leader in the Kiwis for many years, until her move to Phoenix in 1997. Carolyn’s favorite fun (and serious) pass time was tennis. She played on the women’s tennis team at Wimbledon Tennis Club in Palos Heights, Illinois for over 15 years. In 1976 Carolyn opened Kiwi Travel in Palos Heights. She managed the agency until she sold it in 1996.

Shortly after moving to Phoenix, Carolyn again was back in the travel industry, working as a Travel Consultant. She has been working at Terra Travel, both in the Phoenix and the Mesa offices for the past 15 years. Her many years in travel gave her the opportunity to visit many destinations around the globe… She loved working in travel.

Carolyn is survived by her devoted Life Partner, Patricia Abraham, and her children, Kyle Bachman-Johnson (Eric) and Robert Bachman (Karen). She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Tori Thompson (Eric), Emma Bachman-Johnson, Jared Bachman, Matthew Bachman. and great grandchildren, Hannah, Daniel, Elizabeth, and Joseph Thompson.
