Catherine Dijkstra, 92, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 21, 2016. She was born on January 19, 1924 in Patterson, New Jersey a daughter of the late Richard and Dora (Lucas) Van Boerum. Catherine enjoyed playing the piano and family gatherings. She was a loving and giving woman of faith. Catherine lived in Arizona for nearly 40 years. She was a special woman who will be sadly missed by those whose lives she touched.
Surviving are her two sons, David (Aide) Osinga of Mesa, Arizona and Samuel (Megan) Osinga of Chandler, Arizona; five loving grandchildren, Lisa, Tammy, Katerina, Samuel and Nicholas; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeanette Vermass and a sister-in-law, Anita Van Boerum.
Catherine was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel Osinga; her second husband, Klass Dijkstra; three brothers and a sister.
Inurnment took place at Mountain View Cemetery in Mesa, Arizona.
