Celestina Carrasco Balderrama age 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on February 23, 2026.  She was born on March 3, 1931 in Adobes, Texas to Anastacio and Magdalena Carrasco.  On October 29,1950, She married the love of her life Jose Balderrama who preceded her in death in 2014.

Celestina loved the simple life.  She was not big on sweet treats but mighty big on hot spicy foods.  Give her a hot jalapeño to dip in a little pile of salt on her plate and she enjoyed her food all the more.  Cooking, sewing and gardening were other passions of hers.  The love and care she put into her plants always showed in how green and happy they always looked.

Our matriarch will be greatly missed by the huge family she leaves behind.  Her six children; Socorro, Maggie, Jose Jr., Evangelina, Ricardo, and Anna.  Here 18 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
