Clifford Drury was born on August 30, 1934 to Reed and Alice (Balcom) Drury in Geddes, South Dakota. Cliff was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie, his brother Keith Drury. Cliff worked in construction and as an ironworker across the United States from New York to California. During his time in South Dakota, he lived in the Rapid City area.

Clifford had four children. Susan Stewart of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Rodney Drury of Peoria, IL. Ricky Drury of Lakeside, Arizona, and Scott Drury of Lakeland, Colorado. All survive him, along with ten grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
