“Connie” L. Bobbitt, 88 of Mesa, AZ, passed away on October 21, 2011. Constance Louella Bobbitt, born 1923, Racine, Ohio, died 2011 Mesa, Arizona. “Connie” as she liked to be called had a middle name after two of her favorite aunts: Aunt Lou and Aunt Ella. Married to George “Bill” Bobbitt, deceased with two surviving children Richard Bobbitt and Sheila (John Herman), two grandchildren Charles Herman and Andrew Herman with one great grandchild, Madison. She was the oldest of eight children born to Lawrence (LT-a twin) and Belinda Norris, Brothers were Lawrence Jr. deceased-(Carlene); Wilford “Willie” deceased (Nelt); Clarence “Bob”- deceased (Elaine); Alfred-deceased and Harold-living (Dee). Her sisters Donna-living (“Mac” MacWorter); Evelyn-living (Tom Shea); Janelle “Linda” (Jerry Kehr). There are numerous grand and great grand nieces and nephews. Connie grew up in a minister’s family with all of the church activities and responsibilities that were required at the time plus the mothering with her closest sister Donna, of all the other siblings. In her later life she had many interests: Charity work for the York, PA Hospital Auxiliary, dancing, bowling. painting, needlework, and playing cards. She was also good at gardening and loved to have lots of plants. She and Bill retired to Mesa, AZ with former coworkers and buddies where they enjoyed being away from the harsh Indiana winters. They had many productive years until heart problems overtook Bill and Dementia and Alzheimer’s overtook Connie. Connie came to live in an excellent nursing home here and they became part of her family too. She will be much missed in passing.
