May 12, 1936 – January 4, 2022


Darlene G Tschida, of Mesa, AZ passed away on January 4, 2022. She was born May 12, 1936, in Gordonsville, MN to Clair and Mabel Young.  She was an honor student at Pequot Lakes High School and graduated in 1954. Darlene worked as a secretary for Gamble Skogmo in Minneapolis for 5 months. In 1954, she married Larry Cooper and was a stay-at-home wife and mother until 1967. She worked part time as a waitress for a few years. Larry and she divorced in 1971. Darlene married Greg Tschida in 1973. She worked doing house-cleaning services for seniors from 1990 until 2004. Darlene was strong in her faith and was baptized and confirmed Lutheran ELCA. She joined Resurrection Lutheran Church in 1991 and transferred to Word of Peace Church in Rogers in April, 2005.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings; Veta Fernlund, Vonia Babenroth and Clair (Bud) Young. Darlene will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Greg; children, Craig (Jody) Cooper, Janice (Jerry) Kline, and Joni (Robert) Hogan; grandchildren, Amy (Russ) Rosckes, Kelly (Brian) Gill, Jonathan Cooper, Kari Cooper, Logan (Sarah) Mohs and Ryan Hogan; and six great grandchildren.

Darlene enjoyed cleaning for her “ladies”, helping at church and being a Grandma and Mom.

We did not know your Mom, but we know she was a beautiful person and a wonderful Mother because we know you and it shows in all you do.
