David John “Dave” Lamm

June 26, 1951 – December 10, 2009


David John (Dave) Lamm, 58, passed away December 10, 2009. Dave was born in Lakewood, OH on June 26, 1951 and remained a lifelong fan of his Cleveland Indians. In 1974, he moved to Arizona with his family, where he worked in the grocery business for over 25 years. Dave left us Thursday evening after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Dave fought until the end, with his dedication to finding a cure reflected even in his final decision to donate his body to medical research. Dave joined his mother Ruth. He is survived by his father, Robert, daughters Molly and Betsy, sister Laurie, brother Robert, and countless other loving family and friends who stood by his side through this difficult journey. We will miss his spirit, perseverance and eternal optimism and faith. A service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday December 14, 2009 at Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in David’s honor to the Translational Genomics Research Institute., 445 N. 5th St., Phoenix, AZ 85004 of Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
