David Roy Pennington, 59, passed away on June 21st, 2025, in his home in Chandler, Arizona.

David was born in Mesa, Arizona on March 24th, 1966, to David and Sandra Pennington. He graduated Gilbert high school in 1984. He quickly began his career in the construction industry and held nearly every position over a 35+ year career. Starting from the bottom he worked his way from a general laborer up to eventually the Vice President of his long-time company. In 2008, he opened his own construction business where he served the city of Gilbert, Arizona until his retirement. He enjoyed the freedom and flexibility his business allowed and most importantly, as he put it, being his own boss.

David deeply loved and served our lord and savior, Jesus Christ. David was a devoted Christian who regularly attended church throughout his childhood into his adulthood. He was also a dedicated father and family man who always prioritized his family above himself. Those who knew him best knew his selflessness was a cornerstone of his character. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to his favorite music, driving one of his various sports cars, and watching football on Sunday afternoons.

David’s greatest blessing and love in this life were his boys, Josh and Jordan. They weren’t just his sons; they were his whole world. He viewed his nephew Kaleb and niece Tori in the same light and always made sure he was included whether it was a family vacation or just weekends by the pool.

David is survived by his mother Sandra Pennington; and his siblings, Clinton Pennington, Holly Joice, and Adam Pennington; and his children, Joshua and Jordan Pennington as well as 5 nieces and 3 nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, David A. Pennington and grandparents Helen and Roy Pennington and Mary and Arnold Meece.

David will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed enough to know him.
