Denison Lee Baldwin passed away on January 17th, 2025. He was born in Glendale, California. Denison was preceded in death by his dear grandson Matthew. Denison Lee Baldwin is survived by his wife Diane, Daughter Karen and her husband John, Son Dennis and his wife Amelia, Daughter Kimberly, and her husband Jeff. In addition, Denison is survived by his grandchildren; Ashley, Stacey, Jakob, Ryan, Robert, Justin, and Joshua, as well as his Great-Grandchildren; Brooks, Kitt and Dakota. Denison (Denny, as family and friends knew him) is also survived by his brother Michael, his sister Carolyn, and her husband George, as well as numerous Niece’s and Nephew’s.

Denison was an extraordinary man who started working when he was five years old. He started selling newspapers on the corner and he continued working for the newspaper throughout college at the University of Southern California. Denison graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1968. He worked at Hober’s pharmacy in Sunland California filling prescriptions for quite a few years. Denison then took a risk of opening his own Pharmacy in the later part of the 1970’s.

Denison owned Desert Hot Springs Drug Store in Desert Hot Springs, California for 35-years. That was the only pharmacy in Desert Hot Springs at that time. During that time, Denison provided services to hospitals and convalescent homes in the area. As a proud member of the Rotary Club, Denison supported the community by raising monies for charities and with promoting numerous local charitable fundraising events.

Denison always had a smile on his face and readily helped anyone in need. As a pharmacist, Denison always answered questions about prescriptions and helped to improve people’s lives. Customers’ lives were positively impacted because of Denison. He always had a positive outlook on life which resonated with everyone who knew him. Denison loved people and he gave back to the community without expecting anything in return. He eventually sold the family Pharmacy and retired in Arizona with his wife Diane.

Denison’s hobbies included traveling, reading, learning about history, and of course his passion was spending time with family. He had the fortunate opportunities to travel all over the world and often told stories to his children and grandchildren about such travels. Some of his vacations included his children and grandchildren as they got older. Family was first and foremost with Denison and he embraced every experience throughout fatherhood.
Denison and Diane were married for 65-years. They traveled whenever the opportunity presented. Denison travelled with his wife all over the world, including destinations he read about. He even travelled multiple times to the same locations that impacted his life the most.

Denison Lee Baldwin will be deeply missed but never forgotten, his memory will live on forever in our hearts.
