Dennis Erwin Karkos

January 6, 1937 – February 11, 2024


Dennis Erwin Karkos, aged 87, passed away in Apache Junction on February 11, 2024.

Dennis was born on January 6, 1937, in Wilton, Maine, as the oldest of four sons to Francis “Fat” D. and Barbara Adelaide (French) Karkos. Dennis is survived by two brothers, David and Irene Karkos of Wilton, ME and Brian “Buzzy” and Georgia Karkos of Fairfield, ME. He is also survived by six children, Terry and Beth of Holbrook, AZ, Larry, Laurie, and Jeff of Apache Junction, AZ,  Scott and Caryn of Cedar City, Utah, and Robbie and Lindsey of Huntland, Tennessee. Additionally, he is survived by his grandchildren Kristy, Kyle, Matthew, Joshua, Daylen, Cody, Morgan (Karkos), Kim Barricklow and Jodeci VanOrden; and great-grandchildren Guinevere and Draven (Karkos), Chase, Taylor, Seth and Brooke (Barricklow) and Graham and Liam (VanOrden).

Dennis was preceded in death by his wife Joy Marian (Fagone) (Fletcher) Karkos, his brother Kerry Karkos, and his daughter-in-law Kathy Karkos (Larry’s wife).

As per Dennis’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial services.
