Donald Edward Jerman 88 passed away on Friday, January 21, 2011 in Mesa, AZ. Mr Jerman, a retired business owner was born in Ft. Morgan, CO. Don, as he was known, was raised in the Salt Creek Oilfield area and lived there until 1984 at which time he and his wife came to Arizona and RV’d for 8 years. In 1993 moved permanently to their present address in Mesa, AZ. He went through school in Midwest Wyoming and graduated in 1940. Entered Wyoming University in 1940 on a football scholarship until spring of 1942 when he entered the US Navy during World War II. After discharge in 1946 re-entered college at Wyoming University, went to Montana State University-Bozeman for a year and back to Wyoming University where he received a Masters Degree in 1950. He taught high school history and was sports coach and librarian until 1951 when he went to Washington D.C. to school and became an FBI agent. After resigning he went back to Edgerton, WY and joined his father in a family owned business and served as a Deputy Sheriff of Natrona County until 1966. In 1966 he married Naomi R. Talmadge and they had a wonderful life together. Don was a wonderful, caring, sensitive husband, father to Ruth’s 2 sons and all of the grandchildren that ensued until his departure. He always had time and attention for all of us and for his many friends he never failed to have in his heart and on his mind. He will be so dearly missed by all of us and will never be forgotten. Preceded in death by his parents Beulah M. and Robert M. Jerman and sister Betty J. Andersen, he is survived by his wife Naomi Ruth Jerman, step-sons Kenneth C. (Barb) and Michael J.A. (Theresa) Talmadge, 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Casper, Wyoming
