Donald G. Ellis, affectionately known as “Donny” was born on September 26, 1962, to Wanda Faye Bourne in Clarksville, Tennessee. Donny was baptized at a young age at First Missionary Baptist Church and graduated from Clarksville High School in 1980.

During his younger years in Clarksville, Donny worked for The Kroger Company. After relocating with his family to Phoenix, Arizona, Donny joined the town of Gilbert, where he proudly served as a Wastewater Technician for 15 years before retiring in 2024.

On the morning of July 4, 2026, Donny passed away peacefully in his sleep. While his presence will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Donny was preceded in death by his loving mother, Wanda Faye Bourne; his stepfather, Delano “Bubba” Bourne; his father-in-law, Frank Mallory; and his beloved dog, Beau.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 36 years, Falicia Mallory Ellis; his daughters, Alicia D. Ellis of Houston, Texas, and Alexia D. Ellis of Phoenix, Arizona; his favorite son, CW3 John C. Fletcher III (Christin) of Elgin, Oklahoma; and the bonus daughters he and Falicia welcomed into their family, Keisha Moore, Patrice Callahan, and Zaneta (Daniel) Oska, along with their children, Zachary, Timothy, and Jaxson.

He is also survived by his brothers, Patrick (Regina) Ellis and Danny “Ringo” Ellis, both of Albany, Georgia; his mother-in-law, Mayolta Mallory; his sister-in-law, FraNita (Corey) Stapleton; his aunts, Margaret (Fred) Dale, Mary (Fred) Otey, and Kathy Martin; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
