Born January 17, 1945 Louisville, KY and left this world September 26, 2010 after a courageous fight against cancer. He was predeceased by his mother Dorothy Hanson. His survivors include his loving companion Mary; father and step-mother Donald and Eleanor; daughter Kristine and her husband Eric, son Paul and his wife Shari, including their mother former spouse Jan; grandchildren Andrew, Lauren, Macy, Mara and Jett; brothers Dale (Milisa), David (Phyllis), and Damon; sisters Diane (James) and DrewAnn (John). He received his bachelors degree from Oregon State University and his law degree from Loyola University Los Angeles. He was in private law practice in Southern California and was an honored Judge Pro Tem until he retired and moved to Arizona in 2005. He was active in the U.S. Army Reserve and retired as a Lt. Colonel. He volunteered his time in various areas, chiefly with The American Red Cross both in California and Arizona. He took great pleasure in spending time with various ham radio groups. Services are at 11:00 am Saturday October 2, 2010 at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
