Donald Wesley Barsema, 91, passed away on October 12, 2016, in Mesa, AZ. He leaves his wife of 72 years, Lorraine (Oldenburg) Barsema; his son, James Barsema; his daughter, Sandra Davis; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Donald was born on January 20, 1925 in Ortonville, MN, the son of Ralph and Clara Barsema. Following high school, he entered the US Army and served from 1943 to 1945. He married Lorraine on September 9. 1944 and resided in Maywood, IL, until 1962, when they moved to Yuma, AZ. They were residents of Mesa, AZ since 1999, where he was a member of Hosanna Lutheran Church. Donald will be interred at the National Cemetery in Phoenix.
