Donato Carrieri, September 17, 1932 – April 26, 2019; my uncle has peacefully passed away this morning. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Donato and his brother Vito came from very humble beginnings. Having lost their father at a very young age in Italy, they were raised by many loving Italian women.
My Uncle had many health struggles here on Earth but making his video reminds me of all the people he has loved, and who have loved him. He is survived by his loving daughter Cristina, son Daniel, my godmother Pierina, grandchildren Nicholas and Gabriella, son-in-law Hector and brother and sister-in-law Vito and Joanne. Reminds us all that life, in the end, is a beautiful summation of loving and being loved. May you rest in peace Zizi.
Visitation services will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 between the hours of 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery located at 7900 E. Main Street, Mesa, AZ. Mass will be at Holy Cross Catholic Church on May 1, 2019, starting at 10:00 a.m.

A man that is loved so deeply by so many obviously led a wonderfully full life with a legacy to be proud of.
My thoughts and prayers go out to your entire family.
We witnessed all of the outpouring of love and caring with which he was blessed by his family. It was tremendous. And–it flowed beautifully from our Cristina as he passed to his eternal Peace with God. Our hearts and prayers are with all of you.
