Dorothy Gorczyca, 81, of Mesa Arizona, died 4/11/2023 at Springdale Village Nursing Facility.

She was born on August 15, 1941 to John Reinertsen and Carmella Cannazaro in Elisabeth, New Jersey.

She married Leon Gorczyca on July 21, 1962 and had 4 children, Scott, Jim, Donna and Tammy.

She worked as a homemaker and loved her children very much.  She was a Den Mother and Brownie leader.  She did a lot of sewing and worked on ceramics.

Dorothy is survived by her children Scott Gorczyca, Jim Gorczyca, Donna Brownell and husband Michael, Tammy Sexton and husband Toby.  Grandchildren Skyler Stanek, Cody and Pam Stanek, Gage Brownell, Justin Sexton, Cole Sexton, Clint Sexton and Taylor Sexton.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Leon Gorczyca, mother Carmella Reinertsen, sister Elsie Reinertsen, father John Reinertsen and grandson Christopher Gorczyca.

Visitation will be Saturday April 22nd at 12:00 pm followed by services at 1:00 pm at East Mesa Baptist Church with Pastor Fidel Hughes officiating.

Interment will be Tuesday April 25th at 12:30 pm at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Cave Creek.
