Born on February 9, 1922 in Ishpeming, Michigan, Dorothy Virginia Nault entered into rest on January 18, 2011, 3 weeks before her 89th birthday. Remembered as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, our family mourns the passing of a matriarch. Dorothy, known as “Dort”, is survived by her children Geraldine (Robert) Thomsen, Darlene (Paul) Kurian, Florian (Gail) Gelmi, Sherry (Thomas) Salmon, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Lois Bosio. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Emelio Paul Gelmi, brothers Albert and Donald Nault, sister Margarite DeMille and long time companion Wilbur Moody. Friends and family are welcome to attend a Rosary at 1:30 pm followed by a Memorial Mass at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at St. Georges Catholic Church, 300 E. 16th Ave., Apache Junction, AZ 85119. Dorothy’s final resting place will be beside her husband in Ishpeming Michigan, date to be determined.
