Edythe Dorothy Breece, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and daughter passed away at the age of 86 on January 15, 2022 in Mesa, Arizona.

Edythe was born to Cyrus and Dorothy Breece on August 1, 1935.  She was born and raised in Delaware, Ohio where she graduated from Willis High School in 1953.  She worked in her family’s flower shop, Breece’s Florist, as a very talented floral designer.

She met the man who would become her husband, Kenneth B. Kerr while visiting her sister in Phoenix, Arizona.  Edythe and Ken were married on August 18, 1962.  They were married for 35 years and though they divorced in 1998, they remained very close.

Edythe’s pride and joy were her three daughters Bobbi Jo, Jakki and Rikki and her five grandsons. She cherished her role as a mom and grandma.  She was warm, loving and strong.  Edythe was known by all for her sweet, kind, and gentle nature.

Though she lived many years in Arizona, she always considered Delaware, Ohio to be her home. Edythe was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and attended Zion United Church of Christ in Delaware.

Edythe is preceded in death by her parents, Cyrus and Dorothy Breece, sister Eleanor Sheets and her former husband Ken Kerr.  She is survived by her daughters, Bobbi Jo (John) Stigsell, Jakki (Jeff) Kolzow, and Rikki (Rocco) Minetti; grandchildren Hunter and Austin Hillis, Dominic, Anthony and Michael Minetti, and step-grandchildren Sara (Bret) Irwin, Wesley (Lynae) Stigsell, Steven Kolzow and Sedona Kolzow; brothers Paul (Vera) Breece and John (Mary) Breece.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday January 22, 2022 at 11 am at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 9601 East Brown Road, Mesa, Arizona 85207.  On a future date, Edythe will be transported to her final resting place in Marlboro Cemetery in Delaware, Ohio.
