Elijah “Eli” Seth Perez, 18, passed away with peace on July, 15, 2018 5:07 pm, with family and friends by his side. He was born in El Paso, Texas on April 10, 2000. Elijah was given the gift of life, and now he gives it back. He was dearly loved by his parents, David Perez, and Crystal Aristizabal.

Elijah will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, grandson, and friend. He enjoyed being with his friends, family and animals. In his youth, he spent some time volunteering with the Arizona Boston Terrier Rescue, when his parents fostered dogs in their home. He also adored children, and most pictures of Elijah, either had a child or an animal in them. He had a heart of gold, and a smile that could light up the room. Elijah also could make anyone laugh; he had a great sense of humor. Elijah had an interest in welding, and automotive work, and was planning on attending school.

Elijah will be missed by his parents, David Perez, and Crystal Aristizabal; Stepfather: Alex Aristizabal; Grandparents: Bertha Perez, Octavio Perez, Sr., Brian Greene, Evelyn Greene, Kathy Greene; Alicia Aristizabal, Diego Aristizabal and Gabby Aristizabal; Aunts and Uncles: Fred Perez, Christi Perez, Suzanne Perez, Octavio Perez, Jr., Danielle Greene, and Mark Greene; Cousins: Evan Perez, Isaiah Perez, Levi Perez, Matthew Perez, Kathryn Perez, Emilie Perez, Anneliese Elkins, Darren Cyr, Aria Perez and Ellie Perez. He will also be missed by all his friends that he had made through the years.

Funeral Services will be at Mountain View Funeral home, 7900 E. Main Street, Mesa, 85207. Viewing will be 3:00pm-5:00pm. Services will follow at 5:00pm-6:00pm. Pastor Mark and Pastor Karl of twentynine:eleven Church, will be officiating.

I love you baby.. you will forever be in my heart. I miss you terribly.

  2. Sarah Sanchez says:

    Elijah,
I admired your tender heart. You were great with my children, so patient and incredibly kind. You made their world more entertaining and fun. You had a way about you that let Michael and Angelina know that you were a person they could trust. Michael prayed for you last night and said he wished you didn’t have to go to heaven.
I know that you are no longer physically here but I feel your presence around your family. You left a lasting impression on all of us. Your Dad and I went to Devil’s Bridge on Friday; you were far more courageous than me. I am terrified of heights but mustered up the courage for you and I am glad your Dad and I were able to honor your memory in that way.
I am comforted knowing that you decided to donate your organs and parts of you will continue to live on in others. You were a very special young man. You have blessed many families by your selflessness and I am proud to have had the opportunity to love you.
May you rest in peace Elijah, you will be deeply missed.
