Elona E. Coutu, 61, of Mesa, AZ passed away February 2, 2014 in Mesa, AZ. Elona was born in Mesa, AZ. Finally after 10+ years fighting 3 different cancers and the aftermath of those, she was diagnosed with ALS in October and she didn’t have enough fight to carry on. She will be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Michael L. Coutu, daughters Bobbi (Mike) Olson, Buffy (Rodney) Reyes, stepdaughters Jacque (Tod) Watson, Stephanie (Tony)Nunez, stepson Michael A. (Shalana) Coutu, sister Sue (Charles) Hawk, brothers Donnie (Debbie) Freeman, Bill (Nonie) Hartzeu and 11 grandchildren. Services to be held at a later date.

    I just heard about Elona’s death. We lived across the street from each other growing up. She was a lovely person, I’m grateful that she was my friend. She was always kind and generous. r.i.p.
