Passed Away on December 10, 2013


Eugene E. Bach of Mesa, AZ formerly of Peoria, IL, died peacefully on December 10, 2013, after a long illness. He was born on November 4, 1925 in Peoria, to Emil and Pearl Bach. He married Darlene D. Green on November 9, 1944 In Gulfport, MS. She preceded him in death June 11, 2013. He is survived by his three daughters: Teresa (Dennis) Henrichs of Greensboro, NC, Sandra (Thomas) Ebel of Peoria, IL, and Barbara (Jon) Ries of Layton, UT. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Kenneth (Paula) Askew, Dominic Ebel, and Jenny and Samantha Ries; as well as his great grandchildren: Jesse, Matthew and Katie Askew. His sister, Lucille Pinkham, Resides in Long Beach, CA; and his brother, Curtis Bach, died as a teenager in Peoria. After graduating from Woodruff High School, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps, honorably serving from 1943 to 1946. Over the years, after being discharged, he worked for Williams Electric, Firestone and Bemis. He was a skilled builder, and over the years, he built several residences, including two duplexes, and a commercial building. He and Darlene retired in 1988 and moved to Arizona in 1990. They enjoyed wintering in Mesa and spending their summers at their home in Show Low, AZ. Private funeral services were held in Mesa. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Associations.
