Evelyn Lucille Rounds, age 85, of Mesa, Arizona passed away June 11, 2026. She was born in Springfield, Illinois on April 6, 1941.
Evelyn grew up in Beaverton, Oregon and graduated from Mapleton High School in Westminster, Colorado. She was married to Ron Dunlap in February 1961 in Denver. They later divorced and Evelyn decided to leave the Colorado winter and move to Arizona where she met Harold Rounds. Evelyn and Harold were married November 25, 1988. Evelyn worked as a clerk for Mountain Bell in Colorado Springs and Phoenix, and later as a secretary at Kino Jr High in Mesa. She volunteered as a librarian at Dreamland Villa and Fellowship Square and had a passion for reading Agatha Christie and JD Robb novels, watching Cary Grant movies and snacking on chocolate treats of any kind.
She is survived by her children Julie (Henrik) Lundgren, Don (Laura) Dunlap, Karen (Steve) Boone; step children Ed (Kris) Rounds, Rob (Dorene) Rounds; brother Bill (Debbie) Bell, sisters Gloria Carmer and Barbara Bell; nephew Richard Carmer; grandchildren Erik, Kristin, Brannon, Colin, Kelly, Samantha, Ashley, Dustin, Josh and Cody; great grandchildren Liam, Ollie, Iroh, Bella, Dash, Stockton, Ransom, Tildy, Caysen, Rowen and Maddyn. She was predeceased by her loving husband Harold, parents George and Dorothy Bell, brothers John and Jimmy Bell and stepson Lee Rounds.
