Evelyn Mary Steffek, 91 years old, passed away at her home in Mesa, AZ on November 15, 2015. She was born on June 17, 1924 in Milwaukee, WI. Survived by her husband James, son Jeffrey, daughter Judith and grandsons Jason and Craig and a great granddaughter Skyller, sister Virginia Lange, and brother Eugene Rzyski. Preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Evelyn was part of the U.S. Army as a Registered Nurse, and after leaving the Army she enjoyed a long career as a Pediatric Nurse and Public Health Nurse.
As a gifted artist, she enjoyed creating watercolor paintings and needlepoint.
After retirement, she enjoyed giving her time as a volunteer for may years at Swagel Wootton Eye Center, and serving others at Red Mountain Community Church.
She will be missed by many and has left a legacy of caring for others.
Cremation arrangements made though Mountain View Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at Red Mountain Community Church in Mesa, AZ on December 2, 2015 at 6 pm.
