Frances Lorene (Stapp) Hogan, 81, of Mesa, AZ was born May 30, 1930 in Springfield, MO to Thomas Burton “Burt” Stapp and Sarah Estella “Stella” (Shaw) Stapp. She died peacefully with her daughter by her side, at the Banner Gardens Hospice Inpatient Unit on March 11, 2012. Frances married Charles “Chuck” Wesley Hogan on Easter Sunday April 17, 1949 in Springfield, MO. They were married 61 years before Chuck passed away in 2010. In 1958, they relocated to Arizona, where they lived for more than 50 years. Chuck was the love of her life which was evident through the years, as well as, when she cared for him in his decline, while she herself was receiving chemo and radiation therapy. After Chuck retired , they spent many days fishing and camping. Frances loved the Lord and came to know Him in a personal way as a young girl. Chuck and Frances served together at their church, Desert Chapel United Methodist Church for many years. Serving on the Missions committee, and as Ushers and Greeters. They developed many special friendships there. Frances’ faith and trust in the Lord was evident in her life by the way she lived her life and by the way she overcame the many years of disappointments she faced in battling cancer. Frances was the cornerstone of her family and she gave of herself unconditionally. She spent endless hours in prayer for them. She was a faithful and loyal friend to many. Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Chuck, her parents, and one brother, Billy Richard Stapp. She is survived by her daughter, Charlene Olvis and husband Ron of Hartville, MO; son, Loren Hogan and wife Susan of Show Low, AZ; five grandchildren, Richard Hogan (Kim) of Mesa, AZ; Lori Harris (Rob) of Mesa, AZ; James Hogan (Hattie) of Pinetop, AZ; Rachel Olvis McCracken (Brian) of Mesa, AZ; Leah Olvis Coon (Preston) of Clarksville, TN; and 10 great-grandchildren Kylie Hogan, Presley Lykin, Maycie Hogan, Kade Hogan, Aubrey Coon, Rylan Hogan, EmmaMcCracken, Makayla Coon, Camdyn Hogan, Kaelyn McCracken; one brother Thomas Stapp and wife Gerri, one sister, Mary Willbanks and husband Pete, nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Palo Verde Dr., Apache Junction, AZ 85120. There will be a viewing at 1:30 pm and a Celebration of Life held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ
