Gabriel Mizael Facio Rodriguez, 46, passed away on June 8, 2025, in Apache Junction, Arizona. Born on October 31, 1978, in Salamanca, Guanajuato, Mexico, Gabriel’s life was defined by his deep devotion to family and his commitment to serving others.
Gabriel was a devoted husband and a loving father. His unwavering support for his wife and children stood as a testament to the strength of his love and the pride he took in being present for those closest to him. His warmth and dedication left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
In his professional life, Gabriel served with distinction as a member of the Apache Junction Police Department. During his three years as a veteran on the force, he exemplified integrity and courage while protecting and serving the community. His colleagues remember him as a dependable officer whose presence brought reassurance and strength.
Gabriel’s legacy lives on through the love he shared with his family and the meaningful impact he made through his service. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May his memory bring peace and comfort to those who carry it forward.
The funeral service will be at 10AM on Monday, June 16th, at Central Christian Church in Mesa on 933 N. Lindsay Road.
A public procession will begin at 7:45 AM from the Apache Junction Police Department, 1001 N. Idaho Road, traveling west along Superstition Boulevard. Community members are encouraged to safely line the route to show their support.
The procession will then proceed to Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 E. Main St. in Mesa, where law enforcement agencies from across the region will join the procession, departing at 8:30 AM towards the church with an expected arrival at 9 AM.
Thank you Officer Facio for your dedication to Public Service, and for standing strong on the thin blue line! Although we did not know you, or live in the city in which you worked- we feel the loss of your family, your comrades, and the community you served! Thank you for putting your life before the lives of others, and thank you for the ultimate sacrifice you paid to keep others from harms way. The United States, The State of Arizona, and the Town of Apache Junction were made better by the life you lived, and the dedication you showed! God Bless you, your family, and your comrades. May they find peace in knowing that you have gone Home to the Lord, and that you did so by upholding and living up to your dream! Rest in Peace Office Facio!
