Garrett Ryan Porter of Queen Creek, AZ was born on June, 15th 1995 into the arms of a loving woman, Linda, who wanted nothing more in life than to be a Mother. His struggles during pregnancy and at birth left him with many physical challenges and despite receiving the best possible care and attention, Garrett succumbed to a respiratory infection and passed away at the young age of 27 on Wednesday, May, 31st 2023 at Gilbert Mercy Hospital, surrounded by his parents, brother and grandmother.

Garrett loved music, TV, playing ball, splashing in the pool, and most of all hugs and kisses. He had a great sense of humor, loved school and being around other children and his laughter was contagious. He will be deeply missed by his family, therapists and former caregivers.

Garrett is survived by his loving Parents, Linda and John Hovald, His Brother Austin Hovald (and his Wife Samantha and their daughter Briar), His Grandma Delma Dickerman, and many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and Caretakers.

Services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ 85207 Thursday, June, 8th 2023. Viewing starts at 1pm, Services start at 2pm with on site burial afterward. All are welcome to attend.

When a precious, innocent soul passes, after a period of time peace blooms.
