On September 13, 2011 George A. Wagner, 90 of Mesa, AZ went home to be with the Lord. George served his country during WWII in the United States Marine Corps with courage and valor at Iwo Jima, Guadalcanal and other battles during his two tours of duty in the South Pacific.  He was a loyal employee of General Motors Corporation for 32 years.  He was preceded in death by his adored wife Emma Jane.  He is survived by his sister, Betty Lou (Jacob) of Youngstown, OH and his beloved children Thomas Dean (Jean Marie), Patricia Ann, Beverly Jane, Pamela Jean (James), Betty Lou and Tammy Jean (James). His grandchildren:  Robert, Jennifer, Thomas II, Christopher, Jeffrey, Amanda and Timothy.  Great-grandchildren: Emily, Carter, Alec, Emily, Jenna, Thomas, Tessa, Ella, Gavin and Ava Jane.  George was a much loved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His loss will be felt by his grieving family until we meet again in Heaven.  In lieu of flowers please send contributions to: ACT Today for Military Families Autism Care and Treatment. Graveside service for Mr. Wagner will be at 11:00 am Saturday September 17, 2011 at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel, 7900 E. Main St. Mesa, AZ.
