George A. Wilson Jr.

January 25, 1949 – March 25, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George A. Wilson Jr., of Mesa AZ, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. George was preceded in death by his parents Joan E. Wilson and George A. Wilson, daughter Angela, and son Geoffrey and his brother Richard. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Sandra and his sons John and Ryan (Heather), and three grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Michael Wilson (Gail), Stephen Wilson Sr. (Honi), Christina Dodds (Michael), David Wilson (Vicki), Patrica McMenamin (Jim), and Julie Covert (Robert). Cherished by his family and friends, George was known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit. He touched the lives of all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and dedication that will live on in the memories shared and the stories told by everyone whose life was enriched by his presence.

George served for 9 years in the United States Navy’s Submarine Force. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree and MBA in Business Administration. He was also a Project Management Professional. George also obtained his private pilot’s license, of which he was proud. George was also a member of the Mountain View Lutheran Church, LCMS, where he served as the Financial Secretary.

He will be deeply missed, but his influence remains with us always. May we honor his memory by continuing to share the love and warmth he brought into the world.

The Celebration of Life will be on April 7, 2026, at 11214 E. Laguna Azul Circle, Mesa, AZ from 2pm-5pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Tunnel to Towers.
