Geraldine Emmaline Hawley Dominquez was called home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 6th, 2014. She was 80 years old. Geri was born in Delmont, South Dakota on September 29th, 1933 to James Moran and Emma Nelson Moran and was the tenth of ten children, who have all preceded her in death. She graduated from Delmont High school in Delmont, South Dakota and than attended Springfield College in Springfield South Dakota. Geri had her first teaching job as an 8th grade school teacher in a one room school house in Delmont, South Dakota. Geri was married to Dean Hawley in 1954, in South Sioux City, Nebraska. They had five children together. Geri was a very committed homemaker and did other jobs on the side such as Fuller Brush and Welcome Service. Geri was widowed in 1985, and married Louis Dominquez in 1987, in Mesa, Arizona. Geri will always be remembered for her love for Jesus Our Savior and it was evident in all areas of her life. Geri loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Geri was also an amazing artist and her paintings will be forever with her family to enjoy and to be blessed. Geri is survived by her son, Michael Hawley of Phoenix, Arizona; daughters, Cheryl Hawley of Mesa, Arizona, Kathy Towle of Chandler, Arizona, Michelle Johnson of Mesa, Arizona and Deana Renner of Scottsdale, Arizona. Geri is also survived by her 14 grand children and 18 great grand children. A celebration of Geri’s life will be held on June 20, 2014 at 1030a at the Redemption Gilbert Church, 1820 W. Elliott Rd. in Gilbert Arizona. Thank you dear Momma for being such a woman of faith. Your legacy will live on through your children, grand children and great grandchildren. Geri will live on in our hearts forever, and someday we will all be joined together in our real home, heaven. Psalm 23, The Lord is my Shepherd.
