Gladys Chamberlain Armstrong was born in Elk Point, SD on October 11, 1924. She was the oldest of 8 children.

She was happily married to John Armstrong, her husband of 58 years. During their time together, they shared many interests including boating, traveling, love of horses and related activities like competitive rides and barrel racing, bowling and square dancing and their love of gardening. John proceeded her in death in 2001.

They lived in Chino Valley for several years where she owned and managed a convenience market. They retired to Sunland Village in 1997, where she was an active volunteer for several years.

She is survived by daughter, Judy Armstrong, granddaughter Christine Larson, great-granddaughters Serena Prieto and Sydney Gunn and great-great granddaughter Solana Prieto. She will remain in our hearts forever.

    Dear Judy my heart is broken to hear the sad news. She was my mom’s best friend and would tell me all the stories of when I grew up. She was truly one of a kind and will never be forgotten. xo to you and your family
