Glenda Ann Fisher

It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the peaceful passing of Glenda Ann Fisher, a cherished daughter, sister, mother, and friend, on July 28, 2026. Born on August 14, 1977, in Oregon City, Oregon, Glenda embraced life with a vivacity and warmth that left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.

Glenda was a woman of remarkable spirit and grace. Known for her compassion, intelligence, and humor, she was a beacon of positivity and determination. She was unwavering in her belief that anything she set her mind to was within her grasp. Glenda’s forgiving nature was a testament to her strength and kindness, qualities that endeared her to all who knew her.

A graduate of high school in 1995, Glenda pursued her passion for helping others by becoming a Legal Secretary. Her career path later led her to caregiving, where she found true fulfillment in assisting older citizens during their later years. Her dedication to service was further evident when she returned to school in her mid-40s to become a Physical Therapy Assistant, though health challenges prevented her from pursuing this new path professionally.

Glenda’s life was rooted in her faith as an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her relationship with God was a cornerstone of her life, offering her solace and strength in times of trial. Even during her battle with cancer, Glenda’s gratitude for her Heavenly Father’s guidance and protection never waned.

Her greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved daughters, Sierra Rain Bechtel, now 16, and Briella Rose Bechtel, now 10. Whether watching cooking shows together, preparing meals, or enjoying the outdoors, Glenda treasured every moment with her girls. Her love for them was as vibrant as the purple hues of her favorite color and as bright as her cherished sunflowers.

Glenda’s early years were filled with fond memories of singing, performing, and spending time in the strawberry fields. Her red hair and the strawberry stains on her fingers were a testament to her infectious zest for life. Her love for music continued into adulthood, where she delighted in singing with family, especially with her Uncle Gary Laursen.

Predeceased by her parents, Glenn Charles Fisher and Linda Ann (Laursen) Austin, and her siblings Bradley Ray Davis, Val Becker and Mark Allen Fisher, Glenda leaves behind her sisters, Tamera Lea Thompson and Darla Marie Prater, her two daughters, Sierra Rain Bechtel and Briella Rose Bechtel and her stepfather, Kevan Dale Austin, and a family that will forever hold her in their hearts.

A private memorial ceremony with the family will be held to honor Glenda’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in her memory.

Glenda Ann Fisher’s spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her, and her legacy of love, faith, and resilience will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She is now at peace, free from pain, and embraced by the eternal love she so deeply cherished.
