In loving memory of Glenda, who passed away on August 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and generosity. Born on February 5, 1954, in Des Moines, Iowa, Glenda was the cherished daughter of Glenn and Dorothy Pointer. She was predeceased by her devoted parents, who instilled in her the compassionate and giving nature that she carried throughout her life.

Glenda’s journey was a tapestry woven with love and dedication. She is survived by her beloved husband, Ray, and their five children: Trevor (Tabitha), Kriston, Katie, Robin (Adam), and Ray Jr. She was also the proud and loving grandmother to eight grandchildren, Connor, Nick, Nate, Rileigh, Carson, Darrin, Cash, and Stella. Her sister Terry survives as well. Terry and her family cherish the countless memories they shared with Glenda.

Throughout her career at Principal Financial Group, Glenda’s commitment and work ethic were evident to her co-workers. She and Ray moved to Apache Junction, Arizona in November 2002. It was there that she fully embraced her passions for camping, traveling, and a multitude of crafts. Whether creating jewelry, sewing beautiful pieces, or designing tea towels, Glenda’s artistic talents were boundless.

Glenda was always cooking and baking with an open heart. Her kitchen was a haven of delectable treats, and she was known for making enough to “feed an army.” Her baked goods, lovingly shared with family and friends, were a testament to her generous spirit.

Her dedication to others extended beyond her family and friends. For several years, Glenda was at the helm of the Angel Tree program at Love of Christ Lutheran Church, a role she embraced with enthusiasm and grace. Her contributions of countless cookies were a sweet reminder of her love for her Church community.

Glenda will be remembered for her loving, caring, and sharing heart, qualities that she exemplified every day of her life. Her legacy of kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her.

In honor of Glenda’s memory, the family kindly suggests donations be made to Love of Christ Lutheran Church, 1525 N Power Rd, Mesa AZ 85205. A memorial service will be held this Saturday, 08/15/2026 at 10:00 am at Love of Christ Lutheran Church.
