Grace Clore, 82, of Mesa, Arizona died Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Hospice of the Valley, Tempe, Arizona.  Arrangements are being held on Friday, May 26, 2017, at 3:00 PM, at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 7900 E Main Street, Mesa, AZ.  A celebration of life will be at Pathway Christian Fellowship, 1215 S Winchester Rd, Apache Junction, AZ, on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at 11:30 AM.  Pastor Steve Morton will be officiating both services.

Grace graduated from Waynetown High School in Waynetown, Indiana in 1953.  She married Richard D. Clore on June 21, 1953.  She worked in the capacity as a chef at Sky Valley Ranch Inn, in Hillsboro for several years.

Grace is survived by her two adult children Jeffrey (Roxann) Clore, one grandchild Linsey of Globe, AZ, and Julia (Brian) Beall of Mesa, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard and her parents, Floyd D. Keller and Edna (Biddle) of Waynetown, brother Lawrence Keller (Bradenton, Florida), sisters Mildred (James) Laughner, Helen (Noel) Willhite, both of Waynetown, and infant sister.

Grace will be missed by many for her wisdom, kindness to others, and giving of herself.  She always helped anyone that she felt lead to aid.  She was always giving and gave sound advice to her two children.  She was a southern cook at home to her family and was a farm girl growing up near Waynetown and Crawfordsville.  Grace was a Christian and prayed for many people throughout her life.  She had a great love for Country music.  She assisted her husband with a newspaper business in Veedersburg, The Aquarian.  After living in Waynetown, the family moved to Veedersburg around 1976.  The couple worked for Morgan Drive Away, and then, they moved to Mesa, AZ in 1984.  Her two children moved to Arizona as well.  She later worked with her husband at AAMPAC Printing before retiring.

She was the respected matriarch of the family and loved purchasing presents for the family and friends for Christmas.  The family was her life.  Her husband died in September of 2016 from Alzheimer’s complications.  They were together for 65 and married for 63 years.  His death was one of the hardest challenges she ever faced.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association, 5333 N 7th St # B212, Phoenix, AZ 85014.  Grace died of renal failure and possible heart complications due to her over 40 year long battle with diabetes.
