Hans Dieter Rolf

September 28, 1942 – July 12, 2022


HANS DIETER ROLF was born in Berlin, Germany on September 28, 1942.  He passed away peacefully on July 12, 2022.   At the age of 12 his family moved to Sept Isles, Quebec, Canada where his mom and dad opened a bakery.  In 1959 the family moved to the United States and lived in Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Wisconsin, Florida, and Texas.  Hans made his home in Illinois where in 1967 he married Janie Warren.  Hans spent most of his career with ARAMARK where he was District Manager and retired in 2004.  He and his wife Janie spent their time between Glenview, Illinois and Mesa, Arizona and they enjoyed many vacations in Dorr County, Wisconsin with Janie’s family.

Hans is survived by his wife Janie of 55 years, sisters Anita Scott (Oregon) and Tina Schroeder (Texas), niece Melanie Griffin (Texas) and nephew Braxton Schroeder (Iowa).  He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother Harold.

The family thanks the M&L Loving Care Home and the wonderful staff from Hospice for the exceptional care they gave him.
