Harlan W. Eimers, 85, son of William and Mathilda (Meyer) Eimers, was born April 7, 1932 and entered into eternal glory on Monday, Oct. 16, 2017 at his home in Gold Canyon, AZ.

He received his education at St. John’s Parochial School. He was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fenton, IA. He graduated from Fenton High School in 1949, then attended Business College in Mankato, MN for 1 year. On April 15, 1951 he united in marriage to Dolores Fae Mansager.  Together they farmed for 2 years.  Harlan was also inducted into the US Army in 1953 and served 1 of his 2 years in Korea.  Upon returning home, he continued farming and raised his family on a farm south of Fenton, IA until 1996. The couple enjoyed traveling to numerous states including 10 years of delivering motorhomes for Winnebago. Also, Harlan was active in all sports including, hunting and fishing. They enjoyed their retirement in Fairmont, MN and 2 years ago they settled in Gold Canyon, AZ.

Harlan was an active member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Fairville, IA for 40 years and was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont, MN and the American Legion in Fenton, IA and was on the Cylinder Elev. Board.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.  Left to cherish Harlan’s memory are his wife off 66 years, Dolores and children, Bonnie (Ron) Rahm, Truman, MN, Greg (Glenda) Eimers, Elgin, OK, and Gwen (Lon) Smith, LaHabra, CA, grandchildren, Rebecca Votteler, Kenny Votteler, Jeannie Rahm/Sonen, Brian Rahm, Carolyn Eimers/Pulley, Eric Eimers and 8 great-grandchildren, sister, Verda Hiskey and Venita Stussee and many nieces and nephews.
