Harold Dean Ward of Apache Junction passed away February 21, 2010 in Apache Junction, AZ. Mr. Ward, who served in the Army Corp of Engineers, was born in Globe, AZ. Survivors include his wife Ruth, daughters Cheryl (Rick) Long and Tylene Romero, stepdaughter Sheryl (Steve) Savedra, stepsons Bruce (Starla)Thomas, Rod Thomas and Mark Thomas, his brother Lloyd Ward Jr., grandchildren: Mike (Linnie) Romero, Ian (Kim) Romero, James (Claudia) Savedra, Angie (Adam) Alvarez and Josh, and great-grandchildren: Nyla, Lane, Jaidyn, Ysenia, Malia, Jelena, Anthony, Tatiana and Stephen. He was predeceased by his parents Lloyd D and Leora Ward. He was a rodeo star and heavy equipment operator, who loved his family above all else and he worked very hard to support and provide for them long past his expected support. His hobbies included roping fishing and golfing. Services will be at 10:00 am Thursday February 25, 2010 at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ.
