Harriet Marie Coleman, 61, of Beaumont, TX, passed away on August 29, 2016, in Tempe, AZ. Harriet, who preferred to be called Marie, was born in Los Angeles, California, to Harry and Elsie Swanson, on October 27, 1954. Marie was a resident of Arizona for over 10 years. Prior to retirement, she worked as a hairdresser, as well as a Correctional Officer for the State of California. She loved going to church, singing, she had dreams of being a famous singer, and spending time with her family and friends which almost always included cooking a large and delicious meal. Marie also loved her dear dog Brandy who passed on just shortly before her. Marie will be greatly missed and is survived by her mother, Elsie Swanson, her daughters Patricia Monique Hightower, Alysha Dameshek and Yasha Coleman, her sons, Andrus Luvenia Lee Coleman II, Jason Duane Coleman and Darrell Wendell Coleman as well as many “adopted” children who she loved as her own and grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored. Private family services will be held on September 2, 2016, in Mesa, AZ. Mountain View Funeral Home is assisting the family.
