Helen is a cousin of mine and I so enjoyed our phone calls. We shared our faith in the lord and talked of family ancestry, and her love of her family. I will miss her. Because I share the same name as another cousin in Wvl. I was always Cousin Bob in Oregon.

At age 4 I was the flower girl at my sister Carol Howard’s and Michael Clines wedding. It was time to go down the aisle and drop my petals and I froze with fear. The lady in charge was displeased and I wanted to cry when unexpectedly, you came through the curtain and saved my life! I was never happier to see my Aunt Helen than I was at that moment. My momma had just had major surgery and couldn’t walk to save me from the angry church lady but you came in with a big smile and reassured me, took my hand and walked me to the front of the church to stand with the rest of the wedding party. You were always so sweet to me. I look forward to seeing you in heaven.

  6. Lori Clay says:

Love to you, Calvin and Lori (Howard) Clay
