Helen Margaret Sullivan passed away peacefully on February 21, 2011. She was born in 1924 in Denison, IA, to Richard and Velma (Brandenburg) Walter. She lived most of her life in Peoria, IL, where she was a Certified Professional Secretary for the Regional Federal Mediation Board and an active volunteer at a local hospital. Helen and her husband Chester moved to Mesa, AZ, in 1993. She is predeceased by her husband, Chester, and her sisters Phyllis and Betty Ann. Helen is survived by her daughter Maureen Vidmar and her husband Frank; her son Chester and his wife Janet, their children Michelle, Michael and John, and Michelle’s daughters Sierra and Cicely. Also surviving are her niece Ann (Swearingen) Ernst and her husband John and their children. Memories of this beloved mother will be cherished by her family and wide circle of friends. Services will be held at Mountain View Memorial Chapel, 7900 E. Main, Mesa, AZ on Friday, February 25. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm; services will begin at 3:00 pm.
