Our beloved father, died on December 12th, 2011 in Chandler, Arizona. Howard Lewis Peterson was born on November 25, 1924, in Tacoma, WA to Peter L. Peterson and Olga O. Swanson. He had a brother David E. Peterson. He served in the U.S Army Air Corps from 1944 to 1946 as a Flight Officer / Navigator onboard a B-24 Liberator Bomber. He was honorably discharged with 3 American Theater Metals. He graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a bachelor?s degree in business. Soon after his graduation from college, he married Shirley Elizabeth Greenfield, a registered nurse. They had 3 children, Marla Diane, Gregory Lewis and Timothy Brian, all born in Tacoma, WA. He resided in Tacoma, WA; Anaheim, CA; and Mesa, AZ. Howard is survived by his eldest son/daughter-in-law, Gregory and Cheryl Peterson of Placentia, CA; daughter, Marla Peterson of Santa Ana, CA; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held at the Tri-City Baptist Church / International Baptist College Chapel (2211 West Germann Rd, Chandler, AZ 85286) on Friday January 13th at 6:00 P.M.
