Hunter Wyatt Huish, age 17, of Mesa, Arizona, a senior at Red Mountain High School, passed away at home on August 29, 2025.

Hunter was born on January 13, 2008, he earned his first-degree black belt at age 12, participated in running club, and played both flag and tackle football through his freshman year. Most recently, Hunter cherished time with his family, his girlfriend, Desi, and his many friends.

Hunter had a lifelong love of the outdoors—skiing, fishing, quading with his family, and spending summer days at the lake. An adventurous spirit, he enjoyed exploring and traveling, always bringing home small treasures from the places he visited. He will be remembered for his sweet smile, compassionate heart, and calm, quiet spirit.

Hunter is survived by his parents, Terri and Casey; his brother, Greyson; and his pups, Queen Kong and Rocky. He is also deeply loved by his grandparents, Connie and Jag Amdahl, and Glenn Shomperlen. He will be forever missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, godparents, girlfriend, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his Mimi Sue (Glenn), his great-grandparents, and other beloved family members.

Hunter’s light was not for everyone to see, but for those he chose to share it with.

To honor Hunter, we ask that you reach out to those who may feel lost in the darkness and help them find light. No one should have to suffer in silence. Donations in Hunter’s name may be made to Teen Lifeline.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-6 PM on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025. It will be followed by a service at 6 PM at the Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel.

Our hearts have been so sad and continue to be aching for all of you. God knows the darkness he was in and brought him home. How I wish we could understand the “why’s”. You and Casey were wonderful parents and there was so much love in every family surrounding him. Prayers continue for comfort and support in the many weeks ahead. Love you. ❤i
